Robert Joseph Lewis Jr.

Robert (Bobby) Joseph Lewis, Jr., 53, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away June 7, 2017 at the UVa Transitional Care Center, Charlottesville, Virginia. Mr. Lewis was born August 7, 1963 to Robert J. Lewis, Sr. and Margaret Wood Lewis and was married to Deborah Hoffman Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a parts manager for the Ford automotive industry. Bobby was a wonderful husband and best friend to all. He always had a smile and his laugh was contagious. He was the most tender-hearted guy you could have ever known. He dearly loved his family and distance never kept him from remaining close to those who lived miles away. He always ended his phone conversations with “I love you…bye” whether you were family or friend. Bobby loved his ’55 Chevys and won many trophies for best in shows. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and truly loved having people visit his home for social gatherings. He will be greatly missed, especially by his Zebra Cake and Pork Chop. In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his doggie children, Snoops, Missy and Brandy; siblings Crystal Varney (Shane) and Carolyn Lane (Ricky); nieces and nephews, Zane, Britni, Ronni Jo, Audey Jo, Michael, Cody, Tyler and Zachary; his aunt, Edna Christain; his aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Jerry Lewis; and special friends, Gene Zones and Bobby Rutherford. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Brandy Fire Hall.
