Robert G. Ryder

Robert G. “Fuzzy” Ryder, 68, of Elkwood, VA passed away at his residence, Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Fuzzy was born December 23, 1943 to Robert N. Ryder and Lorelle P. Ryder in Fauquier County, VA; served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines, graduating at the top of his class; was employed as a truck driver; enjoyed telling tales, making you laugh and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving Mr. Ryder are his siblings, Joyce Martin of Culpeper, VA and Franklin Ryder of Charles Town, WV; his nieces and nephews, Tonya C. Smith of Culpeper, VA, Brian Scott Cooper (Boo) and his wife Mary of Rapidan, VA, Troy Mitchell Cooper (Donahue) and his wife Gina of Richardsville, VA, Duane Ryder of Orange, VA, and Glenn Ryder of Charlottesville, VA; his great nieces and nephews, Jessica N. Pritt of Culpeper, VA, Megan O. Cubbage of Lake of the Woods, VA, KristyONNA Smith of Manford, OK, Justin Byars of Rapidan, VA, Brice Cooper of Rapidan, VA, Austin “Bucky” Cooper of Richardsville, VA, Mckenzie (Babby Girl) Cooper of Richardsville, VA, Ashleigh Cooper of Richardsville, VA, Devin Cooper of Richardsville, VA, Nadia Essad of Richardsville, VA and Crystal Wharton of FL and great, great nieces and nephews, Regan, Chase, Brayden, Reilly and Mariah. He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Steven Paul Cooper (T. Paul).

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Sandy Martin conducting the service. Interment will be in Madison Memorial Gardens, Pratts, VA.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Clore-English Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
