Shirley Tharpe Fincham

Shirley Tharpe Fincham, 71, of Culpeper, VA passed away in Oak Springs Nursing Home, Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Shirley was born October 19, 1941 to Eddie Tharpe and Virgie Pierce Tharpe. She was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church; enjoyed being an Avon sales person; retired from Safeway, working in the deli and she loved her family.

Surviving Shirley is her daughter-in-law, Martha Fincham ; her sister, Jo Ann Hoffman and her husband Richard; her grandchildren, Melissa Marsh, Jessica Walker, Tiffany Jenkins, Lee Anna Fincham, Tiffany Reader, Justice Lawson, Sabanah Biche and Rachael Biche. Also, she leaves 12 great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gid, her son Don and her brother John Tharpe.

Funeral services will be held in the Culpeper United Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 with pastor Norma Jean Fellows conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.
