Obituary
Curtis Earl Carey, son of the late Bebylon B. Carey and Rosalee Logan Carey, was born January 10, 1949 in Crescent City, Florida.
He attended the public schools of Putnam County, Florida and was a graduate of Crescent City High School.
He continued his education at DBCC, in Daytona Beach, Fl, where he received a degree in Computer Technology. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member of the Usher Board.
Curtis had a long and distinguished career as a News Courier with The Atlanta-Journal Constitution News Agency. He retired after many years of dedicated service.
As a result of his generous spirit, he was loved by many. After an extended illness, he quietly departed this life Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Florene Morris, brothers; Vernol Fisher, Chester Davis, Hillard Davis and Kinsley Carey.
He leaves to mourn his siblings; Ernest (Maxine) Carey of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Evangelist Berniece C. Davis of Los Angeles CA, Morris B. Carey of Greensboro, NC, and a host of nieces and nephews.
