Jeffrey Jacob Moon, widely known as Jacob, Jake, and Moon to those close to him, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2016. In his short 26-years, Jacob accomplished more than many of us will in our lifetime. Jacob had a strong will, a strong heart, and went where his heart guided him. He was adventurous, was the sunshine on a rainy day, and the rock to many relationships. He loved his wife, Eliana, and son, Eaiden, fiercely, and was excited to become a Super Hero a second time to his newborn son, Jace. A Good Samaritan to many, there was hardly ever a time when he didn’t come running when needed.
If at first he does not succeed, then it is impossible.
A real man’s man, Jacob masterfully played every sport he ever tried – the first time he ever tried it. He had a full head of hair, and his beard made many men jealous. The Virginia Carpenter bees were afraid of his skilled marksmanship. He always enjoyed being outdoors, hunting for the next game with the sun shining on him. Jacob broke many hearts, and stole but one.
Jacob is survived by his loving wife, Eliana Moon, his sons, Eaiden Moon and Jace Moon, his adoring father, John Moon, his mother, Jacqueline Gladstone, and sister and brother, Ashley (Michael) Butler and John Moon, Jr. Also, Jacob is loved and is dearly missed by grandparents, many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and a nephew.
Family, friends, and colleagues are welcome to pay their respects and honor Jacob’s life and memory.
