Mr. Hayes was born July 31st 1937, in Boston Massachusetts to Ruth Hayes.
Jerry’s life would seem too short for many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Jerry Hayes was a self-made man who started a successful crane business with friend/brother, Steve Ross.
One of his most successful accomplishments were raising his three daughters and guiding them through life lessons.
Jerry Hayes also continued to have a great relationship with Elvira Hayes, the mother of his two younger children.
One of his greatest past times was listening to music, as his favorite station was 94.7 The Wave.
Some of Jerry’s hobbies included scuba diving, reading (philosophy/positive thinking), and occasionally enjoying his favorite cocktail (screw driver).
Jerry enjoyed caring for his fish aquariums, nurturing his plants, and people watching on Venice Beach.
He was a philosopher at times who spoke few words without knowing a word and had the inner power to touch your life forever.
Jerry Hayes is survived by his three loving daughters, Robin Humphrey, Sherry Hayes, and Monica Green.
With special friends, Elvira Hayes and Steve Ross.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Hayes and beloved companion, Ruth Landis.
Jerry Hayes touched many people with his presence and maintained his trademark sense of humor along with positive thinking all the way to the end.
