LaMar Thomas

Lamar Thomas was born November 2, 1975 to Juanita Matthews and Louis Thomas Sr. Lamar was born in Los Angeles, California and lived with his parents and grandmother Rosemary Bowie. Rosemary had a hand in raising Lamar during his childhood.

Lamar Later Moved with his father Louis Thomas Sr. in Los Angeles, California. Lamar attended 68th Street Elementary School, South Park Elementary, LA Tierra Junior High School and Inglewood High. Lamar later received his GED.

Family and close friends called Lamar "Bai". Lamar was also known as (Craz) Big Lotto by his family and homies.

In 1992, Lamar met a very special lady named Angelique McGinnis. Lamar and Angelique developed a very special, intimate relationship. Lamar was well known by many and developed friendships with many throughout the years.

Lamar (Big Lotto) was no stranger to the streets. Lamar was quite the ladies man, and Lamar was a sharp dresser. Anyone Lamar came in contact with fell in love with him and his smile.

Lamar was Baptized in 1993. Lamar had adorable children named Ashton Thomas and Maliah Emari-Sanaa (MADEA) Thomas, Keonna Guyton, Tremaine Sanders, and Aliyah Phillips whom he loved dearly. Lamar was a great father and he spent a lot of time with his children on many family outings.

Lamar was very close with his family. He was very family oriented and believed in family reunions and unity. This was an amazing man. Lamar wasn't about the drama. He was a peaceful person and kept a smile on his face. He enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Lamar was a entrepreneur. He ran his own business and was a hard worker. Lamar was a jack of all trades. Lamar enjoyed gambling and living life, he wasn't afraid to be who he was. Lamar was on the right path, working with the youth, he began to turn his life in a different direction.

Just recently, Lamar's mother Juanita Matthews was fortunate enough to spend three weeks with her son before this tragedy. Along with his children & siblings bonding, laughing, and creating more precious memories. Lamar will never be forgotten.

On September 2, 2015, Lamar (Big Lotto) made a judgment call to save the lives of others. On September 6, 2015, Lamar fought a good fight and decided to be promoted into the gates of heaven. Lamar is an angel watching over everyone and expects us to unite and love one another the way he did.

Lamar leaves to mourn his passing: Mother Juanita Matthews, Father Louis Thomas Sr. and his wife Rosalyn Thomas. His 5 beautiful children: Ashton Lamarr Thomas, Maliyah (Madea) Thomas, Keonna Guyton Falls, Tremaine Sanders, and Aliyah Phillips. Grandmother Blanche Lemon, 3 sisters La Nita Andrews, Patricia Young, and Shuntoria L. Reid. 4 brothers Louis Thomas Jr., Quinn Thomas, Deon Thomas and baby brother La Monte Denton. 1 niece, 7 nephews, 1 sister-in-law, 6 Aunts, 7 Uncles and Angelique McGinnis who was very dear to Lamar's heart for many years, and a host of cousins, great cousins and homies.
