A couple of months ago I went on vacation to La and I kinda bumped into his tattoo shop. All I can think of now is his genuine smile and his excitement about tattooing me. From that day on we started talking everyday, endless phone calls with deep conversations and laughing about the most stupid things. We did everything possible to get to see each other, I catched flights or trains just to be able to spend time with him. At some point we realized we did not only catch flights - also feelings. We were so real with each other and it breaks my heart to not be able to continue with the things we had planned for the future. We started having a real relationship, just as real and honest as he was.
One of the most funniest memories we got to make was when we lost the car in the parking garage of the Getty museum. Running through all the floors without finding it. It was hilarious. No matter where we went it felt like we could forget about the daily problems and could just have fun. 
Even though I didn't know him for too long, he was one of the purest souls I've ever met who showed me love and acceptance. 
Roberto you will be missed and I'll keep you and the memories in my heart forever. You won my german heart and I like to believe that we will see each other again. Until then I'll keep your tattoos on my skin til death. I know god takes good care of you and there will not be a single day going by where I don't think about you. 
All my love goes to the family which I wished I would have been able to get to know more.

We love you Robert and we will all miss you deeply… I will always cherish our memories with you … 

He was my closest friend growing up in Middle School - I’ll always remember our long talks on the phone talking about music - girls - and whatever else happened at CCHS.

I am so very sorry and sad about the passing of Roberto. I send my deepest condolences. I know how proud you are of your children and how much you love them. I cannot imagine the pain you are all experiencing.

Ever since I met Robert "Betito" when he and his brother and my sons were in middle school, on the soccer fields, he was always a sweet natured, well mannered boy. He grew into a kind hearted, well mannered man. He loved his family with his whole heart. He was an amazing son, the best big brother and one of the best friends to everyone who was lucky enough to know him. His passing has left us all heartbroken as we will never see his gentle smile again, never have another deep conversation, never get another awesome tattoo.... but we will always have a special place in our hearts and memory for him. I am certain he's near us, smiling upon us in gratitude for all the love for him and his family. May God grant you eternal peace Robert, you are loved and forever missed.
