Amedée Paulin

It is with great sadness that we announce the death Mr. Amedée Paulin of Charlo, NB (formerly of Dallhousie), which occurred at Campbellton Regional Hospital, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the age of 89.

Born in Dalhousie, NB, on December 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Louis Paulin and Mélinda Haché.

Amedée is survived by his wife, Ingrid Paulin (Bloomquist) of Charlo, his daughter Mariette (Roger McIntyre) of Moncton, his son Jean Louis (Edith) of Beauce, Quebec, as well as his grandson Ryan, granddaughters Dominque and Marie-Claude (McIntyre), and Marielou Paulin, stepdaughters, Wendy (John) Cunningham, Vera (Daren) LaPointe, step grandchildren Sierra and Spencer Cunningham, Nicholas and Cole LaPointe . He also leaves behind his sisters Alberte (Richard Gauvin), late Georgette (Adrien Gauvin), Lina (Jean Paul Plourde), late Bernadette (Adebert Duguay), Marthe (Guildard Michaud), his brother Jean (Nicole Godin) and Colette (Ron Lepage) . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Amedée was a long time employee of the NBIP paper mill in Dallhousie as an industrial Millwright. As a young lad Amedée enjoyed working with his dad at his shoemaker shop. He was an avid fisherman and was often seen at the “bar” casting his fishing rod. He loved animals and nature. He was currently learning to play the guitar and was a amazing singer. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

There will be no service or visitation at the Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Amedée Paulin de Charlo, NB (anciennement de Dallhousie), survenu à l'hôpital régional de Campbellton, le mercredi 17 février 2021 à l'âge de 89 ans.

Né à Dalhousie, NB, le 15 décembre 1931, il était le fils de feu Louis Paulin et Mélinda Haché.

Amedée laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Ingrid Paulin (Bloomquist) de Charlo, sa fille Mariette (Roger McIntyre) de Moncton, son fils Jean Louis (Edith) de Beauce, Québec, ainsi que son petit-fils Ryan, ses petites-filles Dominque et Marie-Claude (McIntyre) et Marielou Paulin, belles-filles, Wendy (John) Cunningham, Vera (Daren) LaPointe, beaux petits-enfants Sierra et Spencer Cunningham, Nicholas et Cole LaPointe. Il laisse également ses soeurs Alberte (Richard Gauvin), feu Georgette (Adrien Gauvin), Lina (Jean Paul Plourde), feu Bernadette (Adebert Duguay), Marthe (Guildard Michaud), son frère Jean (Nicole Godin) et Colette (Ron Lepage). Il est également survécu par de nombreux neveux et nièces.

Amedée était un employé de longue date de l'usine de papier NBIP à Dallhousie en tant que "Millwright". Jeune garçon, Amedée aimait travailler avec son père dans sa boutique de cordonnier. C'était un pêcheur passionné et on le voyait souvent au «bar» lancer sa canne à pêche. Il aimait les animaux et la nature. Il apprenait actuellement à jouer de la guitare et était un chanteur incroyable. Il manquera beaucoup à sa famille et à ses amis.

Il n'y aura pas de service ni de visite au salon funéraire.
