I was sad to hear of Joan's passing, but am comforted to know she is resting in peace.  Our loss is heaven's gain.  She was like a second mother to me, growing up across the street from her and her lovely family.  She was always a joy to be around.  Ellen, Glen, Ruth & Judy, please accept my deepest condolences.  She will be missed!

May this candle light her journey and create a comfort for those who remain.

After a very rough first meeting, Joan and I became very good friends. She was always so proud to share the successes of Ashley, and talk with great pride of her other grandchildren! She was my seamstress and we had many visits as I can't sew a button!!She also made the beautiful cranberry pantsuits worn by the Chaleur Echoes. May you finally rest, Joan. You deserve it. My hugs to Ruthie and Ellen, and your families...so sorry I could not be with you today!
