May est née le 15 septembre 1923 à Dalhousie, au Nouveau-Brunswick, de feu Onezime ROY et de feu Elizabeth Arseneault.
Tout au long de sa vie, elle a été une excellente ménagère. Elle aimait la musique, la danse de salon, le camping, la couture et jouer aux cartes avec sa famille et ses amis. Elle ne manquait jamais une occasion de socialiser et de profiter pleinement de la vie.
Outre son époux Raoul, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants ; Germaine (Claude Levesque), Simonne (Roger Lepage) tous de Balmoral, Diane (Jacques McIntyre), Claudette (Richard McIntyre), Roland (Gail Mullin), Martine (Yves Hebert) tous de Charlo et Anne (Clarence Landry) de Dalhousie, ainsi que son gendre Jean-Guy (Micheline) Drapeau de Balmoral. Également 17 petits-enfants, 29 arrière-petits-enfants, 6 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs nièces et neveux. Elle a été précédée par ses parents, sa fille Jacqueline et était la dernière survivante de ses frères et sœurs Roy.
Les funérailles de May auront lieu en l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Dalhousie le mardi 6 février 2024 à 11h.
La famille accueillera les parents et amis à la chapelle funéraire Maher, Balmoral, le lundi 5 février 2024 de 19h à 21h.
Des contributions à la mémoire de May peuvent être faites à la Société canadienne du cancer, à la Fondation des maladies du cœur du Nouveau-Brunswick ou à une œuvre de bienfaisance au choix du donateur.

Passed away at the Villa Renaissance on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the age of 100, Mrs. Mabel (May) Levesque, recently of Dalhousie, and formerly of Mountain Brook, wife of the late Raoul Levesque.
May was born on September 15, 1923 in Dalhousie, NB to the late Onezime ROY and the late Elizabeth Arseneault.
She was an excellent home-maker throughout her life. She loved music, ball room dancing, camping, sewing, and playing cards with family and friends. She rarely missed an opportunity to socialize and enjoy life to the fullest.
Besides her husband Raoul, she is survived by her children; Germaine (Claude Levesque), Simonne (Roger Lepage) all of Balmoral, Diane (Jacques McIntyre), Claudette (Richard McIntyre), Roland (Gail Mullin), Martine (Yves Hebert) all of Charlo and Anne (Clarence Landry) of Dalhousie, as well as her son-in-law Jean-Guy (Micheline) Drapeau of Balmoral. Also by 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Jacqueline and was the last surviving member of her Roy siblings.
A Funeral Service for May will be held at Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, Dalhousie on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
The family will welcome family and friends at Maher`s Funeral Chapel, Balmoral on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
Contributions in May’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor`s choice.
