Earnest William Garrison Jr., 76, passed away February 12, 2015 with his family by his side. Earnest was born January 9, 1939 to the late Earnest W. Garrison Sr. and Iris (Beam) Garrison in Gaston County.
Earnest is survived by five children, Danny Garrison and wife, Linda of Dallas, Evan Garrison and wife, Shea of Shelby, Sandra Smith and husband Michael of Dallas, Gail Garrison of the home and Shana Garrison both of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Garrison of Dallas, sisters, Barbara Lineberger and Sue Richards both of Lincolnton, Becky Stalcup and Ellen Gunn both of Gastonia.
Earnest was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae Garrison, daughter, Cindy Lambert and brother, Sam Garrison.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00pm Monday, February 16, 2015 at Hardin Baptist Church in Dallas. Burial will follow at Long Creek Cemetery in Dallas.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15 at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade St in Dallas.
