

Faye McGee Holland Murphy was born June 21, 1925 to B.H. McGee & Pearl Triplett McGee in Caldwell County, NC. Faye moved to Gaston County Christmas Day 1939, she lived in Cramerton NC until February 8th 1946. She married C.D. (Jack) Holland in 1946 and they were blessed with 4 daughters, Jane, Ruth, Jackie, Blair Anne. On Sept. 5th 1975 Faye married Emmons Murphy and continued to live in Dallas. Her survivors are beloved husband Emmons Murphy; daughters Jane Alvarado & husband Manuel of Apple Valley, California; Ruth Holland of Pittsboro, NC; Jackie Carpenter & husband Dean of Dallas; Blair Anne Montgomery & husband Paul of Ranlo NC; one step daughter Patricia (Patty ) Murphy of Dallas, one step son Randy Murphy & wife Teresa of Dallas; one half sister Vickie Homesley of Cherryville; one sister in law Jewel McGee of Redding California; one brother in law Jake Phillips & wife Judy in Florida, 6 grandchildren Anna C. McCarter & husband Gene, Adrian Carpenter & wife Rhonda, Josh Montgomery & wife Mindi; Chris Montgomery & wife Melissa; Tony Alvarado & wife Martha; Beth Lafferty; 14 great grand children: Harley & Holland McCarter, Madison, Zoey, Elijah, and Levy Montgomery, Katelyn Montgomery, Katie Duncan, James & Emily Lafferty, Derek & Maya Alvarado, Austen & Raygan Carpenter. Faye is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death besides parents, 4 sisters Nell Cozart, Weyburn Warlick, Edna Phillips, Ruth Conlon, 3 brothers Charles H. McGee, James McGee, Michael McGee, 2 nieces, Sandy & Pat. Faye was a life long member of Dallas Baptist Church and loved Dallas Baptist Church. Faye Loved the Lord and lived for the Lord her entire life. Faye baked 1000's of cakes for friends and family. Faye's family wishes to thank and God Bless her Church Family and Friends that cared for her for so many years.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on August 2 at Dallas Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Abrams and Rev. Barron Lee officiating.
Interment will be at Long Creek Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the church parlor prior to the service.
