Ira Ray Vaughn

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse Ira and Eulalia Kelley Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn graduated from Gastonia High School in 1951 and was a US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Breckenridge from 1951 to 1954. He worked at Petty Machine for 20 years, and was the owner/operator of Ravaco Cam Company for 30 plus years.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Evalena Penland Vaughn.

He is survived by his children, Steven Vaughn of Dallas, Kelley Curtis and husband Dale of Franklin; sister, Janice McKnight of Dallas; brothers, Alec Vaughn of Augusta, Georgia, Donald Vaughn of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Dallas Funeral Home.
