Joan B. Dye

Joan worked at the American Red Cross as a Phlebotomist for 20 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 37 years, Walter M. Dye and daughter, Catherine D. Spargo.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Summey and husband Landon; Heather Brabble and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Jessica Blackman and husband Adam, Jonathan Summey and Brittany Cox, Landis Summey, Jennifer Hughes; great granddaughter, Laura Blackman; sisters, Jane Capps, Sue Dellinger and husband Tim; numerous nieces and grandnieces; and her beloved dog, Kitty.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hillview Baptist Church in Dallas, NC with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. A committal service will follow at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly.
