Willean "Loreli" Chester Vaughn, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, North Carolina. Loreli was a lady who never had a mean word to say about anyone. She loved her dogs greatly, loved to bowl and mostly, she loved her family. She will always be missed for her hugs, kisses and her smile.
Those left to cherish Loreli's memories and carry on her legacy are her son: Howard Vaughn of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughters and sons in law: Laura Stone of Belmont, North Carolina, Evelyn June and James Savage of Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, Susan and Douglas Austin of Indian Trail, North Carolina, Florence and Kevin Shuford of Bessemer City, North Carolina; grandchildren: Robert Dean III, Savanna Mintz, Nicholas Williams, Amber Moses, Crystal Splawn, Kendra Brooke Shuford, Courtney Galloway and Alexis Vaughn; nine great grandchildren also survive.
Loreli was born in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late William Chester and Florence Phillips Chester. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Harry Eugene Vaughn who passed away on January 23, 2011.
A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday ~ January 19, 2019 at the Community Pentecostal Center, 320 Ralph Handsel Blvd., Stanley, North Carolina with Reverend Eddie McGinnis delivering words of comfort and hope to Loreli's family and friends. Active pallbearers are Kevin Shuford, Mark Etchison, Joshua Splawn, Matthew Moses, Joseph Mintz and Bobby Dean.
Graveside and committal will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, 607 McKnight Street, Belmont, North Carolina.
The family will receive guests from 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
