

Rebecca was born on Aug. 17, 1924, in Dallas.
Becky loved working with children. She taught Sunday School for many years, and also served in several other roles at church.
Becky taught special needs children at Woodhill Elementary in Gastonia, where
she retired after many years of service.
Rebecca is survived by nieces, Deborah B. Holcombe, Beverly T. Metcalf, Ann T. Philyaw and nephews, Ernest B. Wood Jr. and Richard B. Parker.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Carolyn K. Bell, Ann E. Lowery and
brother-in-law, Bobby J. Lowery and wife Joyce and brother-in-law, Bill
Terrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Jack E. Lowery; sisters, Ruth B. Terrell, Nell B. Parker, Emily B. Marshall, Dorothy B. Wood; brothers, Louis T. Bell and Earl M. Bell Jr.
The service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in
Dallas, with the Rev. Caroll A. Flack officiating.
The family will receive visitation prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the
church.
Following the service there will be a brief graveside service at Gaston Memorial Park.
