Tony Curtis Franklin Sr.

Tony Curtis Franklin, Sr., 59, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Dallas and is the son of Merle Holdsclaw Franklin and the late Gaines Franklin.

Mr. Franklin was a graduate of North Gaston High School. He was a former employee of Choice, USA and loved drag racing. He is a member of Dallas Baptist Church.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his mother, Merle Holdsclaw Franklin of Dallas; son, Tony Franklin, Jr. and wife Meredith and their son, Alex of Bessemer City; brother, Robbie Franklin of Palm Beach, Florida; sister, Mary Francis Pinckard and husband Lee of Pell City, Alabama.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Dallas Funeral Home, Dallas and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Dallas Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Abrams and Rev. Barron Lee officiating.

Interment will be at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
