Abbey Zimmerman died peacefully on September 26, 2019. Abbey was born on November 5, 1924 in Passaic, New Jersey. He grew up in Dallas Texas. Abbey is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Fern Zimmerman and his brother Mort Zimmerman. He is survived by his daughter Leslie McNaughton and her husband Bob of Corinth, TX; his daughter Linda Castaldi and her husband John of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren Sam and Abbey McNaughton, Jennifer Cortez and her husband James, Drew Castaldi, Kelley Cerasuolo and her husband John, Matt McNaughton, Katie Rapp and her husband Craig and great grand-children Jakob, Joseph, Landon and Logan; his brothers Mel and Jack Glatzer. Abbey Zimmerman will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor and living his life his way to the very end.
A semi-private graveside service for family and close friends will be held in the Garden of David at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225 on Sunday, September 29th, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Abbey’s name to The National Autism Association or The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.
