Abby Alpert passed away, at the age of 90, on August 28th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 4, 1934 to Mina and Louis Schiff, Abby married Robert Alpert on September 2, 1956. He called her a princess and treated her like one. She was a registered nurse and worked for 30 years in Obstetrics and Oncology. Abby and Bob moved to Texas in 1966. Their new home became a favorite place for her kids and their friends to hang out and continued to be a place of gathering for her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing card games with her friends, reading books from the Plano library, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sister Beverly Lewandroski, children/spouses Sharon Alpert/Gwendolyn Adam, Richard Alpert/Karen Alpert, David Alpert/Jeanine Alpert, Niki Keen/Matt Keen, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Abby is preceded in death by her loving husband Bob and her daughter Robin Hutchison.
