She was born in 1925 in Slidell, LA, and lived there until she married. Adele came from a large family with five sisters and one brother.
She married Mitchell Joseph Saleh and they had two children daughter Helen Marie Saleh Roberts and son Christopher Mitchell Saleh. Mitchell died in 1972 and Adele thereafter married Joseph W. Owens who died in 2007. Adele was blessed with two loving, long-term marriages. Her life revolved around her family, friends, and community while raising her children.
Adele was a devout Catholic and a very generous, giving woman with an infectious personality and captivating charisma. She loved entertaining, traveling, cooking, playing bridge, socializing, music, sports and animals.
But her resounding legacy in life was her love for her family.
Adele was preceded in death by her husbands and grandson Michael Travis Roberts who died in 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Marie Saleh Roberts and husband Herbert W. Roberts, and son Christopher Mitchell Saleh and grandchildren, Bradley Roberts and his wife Elizabeth, and Justin Roberts; her sisters, Nebeha Haddad Broom and Elizabeth Haddad Fogg. She is also survived by her step family: stepchildren Bob and Susan Schutz, grandchildren Mike Schutz and his wife Becky, Christina Schutz, Stacy Zenter and her husband Jay, and great grandson Joseph Schutz.
Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Amanda, Maddie, Piaseh and Mariatu
