

Alex Stuermer Beneke, 39, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1986, at Presbyterian Hospital to Ronald Martin Beneke and Jane Colette Beneke and was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Growing up in Dallas, Alex touched countless lives with his remarkable ability to bring people together. Known for his infectious social spirit, big heart, quiet acts of kindness, and tenacity during challenging times, he had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome. Alex effortlessly bridged communities across Dallas, formed friendships that spanned decades, and was steadfast in his commitment to supporting those he loved.
He valued education and embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. Alex attended Bradfield Elementary, Hillcrest Academy, Highland Park High School, the University of Arkansas, and Southern Methodist University. From an early age, he took on the challenge of becoming an Eagle Scout, traveled the world with his friends and family, and found joy in swimming, running, skiing, and cooking. He was proud of his achievements, driven by curiosity, and carried his love of learning into every stage of life.
Professionally, Alex brought the same warmth, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit to his work as he did to his personal life. The tenacity that defined him from childhood guided his career as he pursued investments in real estate, oil and gas, and startups, often alongside the close friends and trusted partners he had made along the way.
Alex is survived by his parents, Ron Martin Beneke and Jane Colette Beneke; his twin brother, Mark McGuire Beneke; his oldest brother, Brian Campbell Beneke; and numerous cousins, cherished friends, and loved ones who were a constant source of joy in his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ivie Milton Klaeveman and Inez Stuermer Klaeveman, as well as his paternal grandparents, Luther Henry Beneke and Helen Gertrude Beneke.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas.
Alex will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never alone. His gentle soul and joyous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.
