In Loving Memory of Alex “Wally” Alcala
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Alex “Wally” Alcala, who left us on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on January 30, 1946, Alex was the son of Alex Alcala and Juanita Alvares and grew up alongside 4 sisters and 3 brothers. He graduated from Crozier Technical High School in 1964. Alex proudly served in the Army from August 1967 to August 1970.

Together, they built a family and had four beautiful children: Sophia, Virgina, Alex, and Shelly. Alex retired from Williamson Printing and enjoyed 20 years of retirement with his family. Alex found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite pastimes included fishing in Galveston, and gambling in Las Vegas, where he created lasting memories.
Alex is survived by his wife Mary Jane; his children Sophia, Virgina, Alex, and Shelly; his grandchildren Alexis, Azalea, Michael, Alyssa, and Natalie; his great-grandchild Elisa; his siblings; Janie Alcala, Frank Alcala, Antonia Trillo, George Alcala, and Sylvia Loredo.
