On April 1st 2011 the Lord came and took Al by the hand to be with him. Al was born in San Antonio, Texas October 18, 1956. Al was a very caring, humble and religious person he was a fan of all sports and enjoyed spending his weekends at the gun range and shopping. Al was passionate about collecting ink pens, journals and briefcases, he loved old school music and hanging out with “Los Primo’s”. Al was employed at Diebold Inc. for over 25 years. He is survived by wife, Debbie Alcala-Canedo; sons, Benjamin Galvan and wife Emma and PFC Adam Aguilar; grandchildren, Cebrinah, Benny, Jakobb and Ariana. Al loved his grandchildren he was their “PoPo”. He is also survived by his mother, Juanita R. Canedo; brothers, Juan & wife Alma, Arturo & wife Dina and Robert & wife Suzie; sister, Maria & husband Dan as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm. Additional services and interment will be held in San Antonio, TX under the direction of Angelus Funeral Home, 210-227-1461. Al was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.
