

Allen C.B. Williby was born November 14, 1931, in Koerthe, TX to the parents of Ona Bell Hill and C.B. Williby. He had a relationship with the Lord at a young age. Allen grew up in Victoria and Galveston, Texas. He completed his high school education from Central High School of Galveston, TX.
Allen served in the United States Army for approximately five years and was Honorably Discharged. He worked most of his life and retired from Del Norte Tech after working over 20 years.
He had a heart, passion, and genuine love for music. He had his own band for many years called “Little Al and the HiFi’s”. Al produced his own 45 vinyl record entitled “I Was a Fool”. He has played in many establishments over the years. His true love was serving the Lord through music. His impeccable skill with the lead guitar has been shared with many.
Allen has been a dedicated and faithful member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas for over 50 years. He has served in numerous capacities to include being an Elder, Deacon, Choir member, Musician and in other various positions. His name is engraved on the Cornerstone of the church he loved and served for many years.
He has been married to Madella Fantroy for over 40 years and from their union, he has four children from a previous marriage and three step-sons. Al and Mae as many know them, shared an unwavering and inseparable love for one another.
On Monday, October 10, 2022, Allen heard the voice of the Lord calling him, as he played his final tune, he answered. Allen’s infectious smile, wisdom, and the stroke of his hand on the strings of his guitar will be missed and forever reign in the hearts of many.
Allen was preceded in death by his mother, Ona Bell Hill; father, CB Williby; brother, Eddie Williby and sister, Clara Williby Starks. Those he leave to continue his legacy are his wife, Madella Williby; his brother, Samuel Williby (Austin, TX); two aunts, Evelyn Ray (Victoria, TX) and Viola Lewis (Oakland, CA); four children, Allen Wade Williby (Regina) of Alvarado, TX; June Bowie (Ray) of Fort Worth, TX; Raymond Williby of Burleson, TX; Cathleen Brooks(Henry) of Arlington, TX; three stepsons, Kirk Sandifer of Dallas, TX; Jarvis Sandifer of Dallas, TX; Rodney Sandifer(Nedla) of Dallas, TX. 24 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
