24 octobre 1935 – 3 avril 2020
Avis de décès de Mrs. Alma Lee (McMullen) Collins
AUX SOINS DE

Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park

Alma Lee McMullen was born on October 24, 1935 to William and Esther McMullen in Dallas, TX and passed away on April 3, 2020 in Garland, TX at the age of 84.

Alma is survived by four children; daughter, Virginia DeBrow and husband, Bruce of Terrell, TX, son, Bill Collins of Weatherford, TX, daughter, Frances McLaughlin and husband, Greg of Garland, TX, and daughter, Brenda Collins of Garland, TX, grandchildren; Stephanie DeBrow, Blair DeBrow and wife, Carli, Jeff Collins, David McLaughlin, Kevin McLaughlin and wife, Kenna, Mark McLaughlin and wife, Kaylee and Jim Crumby. She is survived by great grandchildren Rylan Crumby, Zoey, London and Jaxon Collins, Tripp McLaughlin and Amelia McLaughlin. Alma is also survived by all three of her sisters Judy Fleming, Doris Bradley and Linda Crenshaw, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their children.

Alma was a proud graduate of Crozier Technical High School in January 1954 and married James “Buddy” Collins shortly after. As a “stay at home mom” of four, she became the ever active PTA volunteer, Girl Scout leader, and even the school cafeteria lady. After obtaining her real estate license, she worked at Town East Real Estate for many years before brokering several other offices as managing broker. Years later, Alma worked for Schell Unlimited McDonald’s in local store marketing... Yep, she knew Ronald, Birdie, Grimace and the whole gang. After retirement she enjoyed her kids, grandkids, activities and travel with her Red Hat Society friends, and always music and dancing. She was the first to open the dance floor once the music started and usually the last to retreat.

Alma will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Laurel Land Cemetery, 6000 S.R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, Ronald McDonald House Dallas or any charity of your choice.
