

She attended Victory High School in Jefferson, Texas, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class in 1964 and a competitive player for the school basketball team.
She moved to Dallas, Texas, after graduation to start the next chapter of her life.
She began her career with the City of Dallas in 1966, where she held various positions. She continued working for the City of Dallas for 30 years, retiring in 1997 with the City of Dallas - Police Division.
She married the love of her life, the late Mackeroy Tuck, in 1983. She loved taking road trips and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed hosting family events and gatherings. She was a member of Bexar Street Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mackeroy Tuck; father, James Edney; mother, Dorothy Edney; sisters, Dorothy Jean Edney, Alfreda Edney, Peggy Glenn; brother, James Edney Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Shela Vinson of Oak Point, Texas; grandchildren, Jerrel Vinson of San Antonio, Texas, Jada Vinson of Oak Point, Texas; sisters, Mary Edney of Desoto, Texas, Jacqueline Edney of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Willie Edney of Dallas, Texas, Lewis Edney of Dallas, Texas, Victor Edney (Ramona) of Glenn Heights, Texas; and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews and cousins.
