Amanda D Vega

Amanda Dominguez Vega, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away November 29, 2024 at the age of 75. She was born February 20, 1949 in Hutto, Texas to Frances Gonzalez and Celestino Dominguez. She lived in Taylor, TX until she met and married her husband James (Jimmy) in 1970. They then moved to Dallas and that is where they started their family.

Amanda was a devoted mother of two children Alfredo and Christina. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and courage. When Amanda moved to Dallas she went on to the school of Cosmetology and became a hairdresser until it was time to partially retire in 2017. She had a few customers who she loved and didn't want to let go and would still see them when they needed her.

Amanda comes from a family of 14. She was the oldest of 8 brothers and 6 sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Celestino, Jimmy, Pete and Cande. Amanda is survived by her spouse of 54 years, son Fred Vega and wife Emma, grandsons Cristian, Gabriel and Andy; daughter Christina Chavez and husband Leo, grandsons Jonathan and wife Kaylee, Zachary and wife Brittany and their children Rylee Ann and Dean.
