Death is God’s way of saying “Come unto to Me all ye that labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.” After 78 years, 3 months and 20 days, on that early Tuesday morning of January 26, 2016, I, Rev. Arthur Lee Ford Jr., left my earthly home to enter into my eternal home. My father, Arthur Lee Ford, Sr.; my heart and loving mother, Lorraine Harrison; and many other loved ones, all preceded me in death. Put God first, and you will never be last. I leave to cherish my memory: stepfather, DeWitt Harrison; four children: Carolyn Sue Ford, Tommy Lee “Michael” Ford, Arthur Ray Ford and his babygirl, Sandra Kay Davis (Duane); one special granddaughter, Sa’Carol Sandyelle Ford; four grandsons: Brandon Keith Ford (Tabitha), Marcus Deon Ford, Tommy Lee Williams and Tony Lee Taylor; seven great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Kelis Ford, Bronx Kelilah Ford, Tenesha Taylor, Tony Lee Taylor Jr., Tenell Taylor, Olivia Renee Williams, and Tommy Lee Williams Jr.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
