Benjamin "Ben" Rodriguez

Benjamin Rodriguez was born on June 28, 1942 in Beeville, Texas to Ramon and Sinforosa Rodriguez. He was the youngest of his siblings who grew up in Beeville in South Texas. Ben graduated from A.C. Jones High School Class of ’61.

He married Adela at Our Lady of Victory, and they raised three children. In order to provide for his family, Ben worked for Dallas Power & Light as a shift supervisor for over 25 years.

Ben loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and fishing with friends and family. He loved scary movies too. Ben was a member of LULAC and enjoyed helping others. Ben was a stubborn man, but a caring man, who loved his family and will be missed dearly.

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, Benjamin Rodriguez was called Home. He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Ramon & Sinforosa Rodriguez; his brother Angel Rodriguez and half-brother, Jacob Rodriguez.

His life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by his wife of 52 years, Adela Rodriguez of Garland; children: Henry Rodriguez and his wife Christy of Dallas, Ben Rodriguez and his wife Leslie of Goldsboro, NC, Lisa Watkins of Hutchins; grandchildren: Chris, Michael, Crystal, Emily, Jake; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Austin, Aiden, Gavin, Jax; siblings: Lacho Rodriguez of Beeville; Cookie & Frank Ortiz of Friendswood & Polly & Balde Loya of Beeville, Carina Rodriguez; and many more relatives and close friends.
