Benjamin Sanchez was born on July 11th, 1938 in Zacatecas, Mexico. The youngest of eight children to Benjamin and Esther Sanchez. He passed away, in Dallas, on April 24, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. As a beloved husband, father and grandfather, his family was the joy of his life. He and Emily were married for almost 49 years and were the perfect example of how beautiful the sacrament of marriage can be. As a long-time parishioner of St. Monica's Catholic Church, he and his wife, were passionate about their faith and made sure to teach their children and grandchildren the love of Jesus Christ. He had been retired from Simmons, after working there for over 30 years. His friends and family will always remember how much he enjoyed having everyone together and grilling dinner for all of us. The more the merrier! He always had a story to tell. He is survived by his wife Emily Sanchez, his son Ben Sanchez and his wife Lisa; grandchildren Benjamin, Symphony and John-Luke, his daughter Emily Sharpton and husband Vince; grandchildren Madeline, Samantha and Matthew. His sister Sr. Mary Lou O.C.D and brother Humberto. Many nieces and nephews and extended family, that will miss him greatly. Visitation will be held at the Gonzalez Funeral home at 3050 N. Stemmons Fwy, Dallas TX on Tuesday April 28 from 4-8 pm. The Rosary will be prayed at 6. Mass service will be on Wednesday April 29, at St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas at 10 am with Entombment at Calvary Hill cemetery immediately afterward. There will be a reception, at St. Monica's Family Center following the burial.
