Bennie Morgan was born on February 16, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, TX to Alva Jane Lamb and Austin Benjamin Morgan,Sr. He moved to Dallas, TX at 16 years old. He started a long-term career at Roadway Express and retired after 32 years of service. He enjoyed playing pool, riding his motorcycle and working in his yard. Bennie was married to Pinkie Keeton-Morgan on December 19,1964 and had two children born to that union.
Bennie is survived by his children Karen Malaolu (Rotimi), Bridget Lee, Pamla Morgan-Jones (Alesia), and Tory Morgan (Anita); brothers, Donald McCoo (Cynthia), Alexander McCoo (Sharon) and Mitchell McCoo; sisters, Carolyn Morgan, Amelia Grace (Terry) and Locquenetta McCoo; grandchildren, Garnett VanZandt, Monica VanZandt, Derrick Bates II, Shaniah Jones and Austin Morgan II; great grandchildren: Addisyn, Austin III, Mia, Brooklyn, Tytiana, Kailen and Ja’Lyia.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ivan McCoo.
