Born August 20, 1931 from Dallas, Texas. Passed away peacefully July 12, 2015. Visitation July 15, 1pm-8pm. Rosary 6:00 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Mass July 16, 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church followed by burial at DFW National Cemetery at 1:00pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and daughter Sonia Jimenez. He was the last of the Acevedo Siblings. He is survived by his Loving Wife of 51 years, Sarah Acevedo. His sons; Larry Jimenez and Wife Cynthia, Bernardo Acevedo Jr. and Wife Jolisa. Daughters; Norma Jean Kline, Pearl Diaz and Husband Jose, Olga Acevedo and Pola Jacinto, 22 Grand Children and 31 Great Grand Children. Chicano as he was known to all served in the Korean War for the Army, he was an avid sports fan and the coach for “Los Pericos.”He was full of love, humor and lots of “Charisma.” (That was his favorite saying) We love you!
