Bernice retired from the Texas Employment Commission, now known as the Texas Workforce Commission.
She is survived by her husband, Jack May, of Dallas, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Marilyn May of Heath, granddaughter Jennifer Flachman and husband Mikell of Waxahachie, step-grandson Brent Kelley and wife Angie of Lavon and five great-grandchildren - Jayden May-Pereda, Ethan, Nathan, Abby Flachman and Xander Kelley.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Winn and Della Winn Wood, step-father Julian Wood, son Kenneth May, brother Marshall Winn of Mesquite, Evelyn Eldredge of Denison and sister Janice Martin of Ft. Worth.
Private cryptside service will be held on August 9 at Hillcrest Mausoleum and Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, Bernice requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
