

Bertha is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Avila Luna; her father, Anthony Espinoza Luna; and brother, Tony Luna. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Byron, Gabriel Gonzalez, and Melisa Byron; her sister, brother-in-law, brother, and sister-in-law, Anna Torres, Richard Torres, Carlos Luna, and Judy Luna; her beloved nieces Sabrina Torres Selvera, Kristie Torres Gomez,and Cynthia Torres; nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Bertha graduated from Irving High School in 1969 and spoke fondly of her time as a Toy Tiger.
Throughout Bertha’s career, she showed immense hard work and dedication. She was also a loving caretaker for her mother. Bertha loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with loved ones while creating long-lasting memories from making homemade tamales to adventuring in Mexico while snorkeling and white-water rafting in Colorado.
Above all, Bertha was strong in her faith and loved the Lord with all her heart!
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th, at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
