Betty Jo Vitosky Sneed was born January 15, 1925, and she passed on January 22, 2016 at the age of 91. On June 4, 1944, she married James Wendell Sneed, and he preceded her in death in 2007. She and James were happily intertwined in marriage for 62 years. Betty worked for the Federal Reserve until she and James decided to start a family. She is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Leary and Barbara Nesuda and husband David; two grandchildren, Brian Nesuda (Teri) and Deanne Nesuda. Betty was blessed with six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty loved Bingo, ceramics, bowling and bridge. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together; at her assisted living, she was known as the “Puzzle Lady.” Both James and Betty loved the casinos and enjoyed going on junkets to Las Vegas with their friends. In her later years, Betty enjoyed crossing the state line and going to the casinos nearby in Oklahoma. She was a self-admitted shopaholic and loved to let everyone know. At her assisted living facility everyone always talked about Betty greeting them with her big, beautiful smile. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to a cause of your choice. Visitation will be 6p-8p, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the funeral home. Service will be at 11am, Wednesday, January 27 at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
