Birdie Elizabeth Lindsey

Birdie Elizabeth Lindsey, 77, left this earthly home on March 3, 2023 in Rockwall, TX. She was born July 27, 1945 in Memphis, TN to Scott Weaver Jr and Marie Jacobus; she was raised in Shelby County until they moved to Texas where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School. Birdie married the love of her life Wayne Estes Lindsey II in 1963 they had 57 years together before his passing. Birdie and Wayne had 4 beautiful children, and she was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother she will be deeply missed by everyone she touched. In her spare time Birdie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, singing songs, going for walks, drinking her coffee, and she NEVER forgot a birthday. Her family will always remember her as a phenomenal mother, wife, and grandmother who set the standard when it comes to unconditional love.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband “Big Wayne”; son, Danny Lindsey

Left to cherish her memory her children, Ed and Deborah Kay Robinson, Wayne and Virginia Lindsey, Michael and Angela Lindsey, and Jennifer Lindsey; grandchildren, Will Robinson, Kayla, and Wayne Estes Lindsey IV, Gage, Kayden, Macy, Natalie, Jackson, and Rachel as well as “her girls” Madison, Megan, and Morgan Lindsey of Rockwall

A funeral service for Birdie will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
