Bobby Don Westmoreland, beloved husband and father. Age 83, passed away April 26, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. Born in Winnsboro, Texas on April 23, 1928. Moved to Dallas at the age of 2 where he lived all his life. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne, children Matt and wife Tina, Mark and wife Ellen, Adam and wife Stacy and daughter Allison Carpentier. Also survived by his brother Richard and wife Linda. In addition he is survived by grandchildren Chase, Rachel, Luke and Hunter Westmoreland , Taylor and Ryan Carpentier and Gabrielle Westmoreland. Bob graduated from Adamson High School and served in the Navy in WW 2. He then attended and graduated from Southern Methodist University. He was Data Processing Manager for Oilwell Division of US Steel Corporation until he retired. Bob loved the outdoors. He loved Archery and Hunting and Fishing all his life. He was an excellent woodworker and knife maker. Friends and family are invited to his visitation at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy Dallas, TX 75225, from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, April 28. Private graveside services for immediate family members will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
