

Brenda grew up in Midland Tx and graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1980. Her hobbies during school were softball and singing with the United Spiritual Singers. Brenda also enjoyed music, spending time with her family, singing and had a love for bartending.
Brenda relocated to the DFW area in 1987 with her two daughters Sharina and Traci Mayfield. In November of 1989, Brenda's life took a drastic turn after being involved in a motor vehicle accident in Arlington, Tx. Brenda suffered from a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) which caused her severe brain damage and a loss of 80% of her mobility. Brenda and her children relocated back to Midland Tx. with her parents for home care. In the summer of 2004, the family moved to Dallas and Brenda was placed in care of a Dallas Nursing and Rehab facility and later moved to Heritage at Turner Park Nursing and Rehab where she remained until her passing on May 29th.
Brenda was preceded in Death by Roy & Vassie Heller (grandparents), Ernest Mayfield Sr. (father) and Eric Mayfield (brother).
Brenda leaves to cherish two daughters: Sharina Mayfield of Midland, Tx., and Traci Mayfield of Carrollton, Tx., Mother: Jonne Mayfield of Arlington, Tx., 4 Brothers: Ernest Mayfield Jr and Andre Mayfield both of Dallas Tx., Tracy Mayfield (Chandra) of San Antonio, Tx. and Christopher Mayfield (Tamesha) of Midland Tx. 5 Sisters: Cheryl Heller-Mayfield and Ernestine Mayfield both of Fort Worth, Tx., Peitte Singletary (Walter) of DeSoto, Tx., Marla Dedrick (Sherman) of Arlington, Tx., Christi McGruder (Deton) of Bedford, Tx., and a Special Sister In Law Tammy Mayfield of Grand Prairie, Tx., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
