

Brooke Erin Millican, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. She was 44 years old. She will always be remembered as a precious daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew and loved her.
Brooke is survived by her father and step-mother, Gary and Tina Millican, of Rockwall, Texas; her sisters, Amy Millican Terry and husband Keith of Houston, Texas; Cheryl Millican LaFlame and husband Donald of Rockwall, Texas; Robin Millican Balderson and husband Jeff of Sachse, Texas; Melody Millican Dooley and husband Sean of Houston, Texas; brother, Alexander Millican of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews, Christian Terry, Ashton Terry Burrow, Isabella Gonzalez, Sophia Gonzalez, Bailey Balderson, Riley Balderson, Everett Dooley, Parker Jane Dooley and Graham Dooley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Millican, and her grandparents, R.E. and Wanda Millican and D.B. and Helen Wood.
Brooke was born on July 19, 1978 in Dallas, Texas, to Gary and Judith Millican.
Brooke attended elementary and middle school at Dallas Christian Academy before moving to and graduating high school from First Baptist Academy. She then went on to graduate Suma Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Education focusing in History. Brooke was an avid reader from a very early age. She loved watching movies, listening to music and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Brooke‘s successful retail career began at Claire’s Accessories in the Galleria. She loved jewelry and accessorizing and was regularly a top seller. In addition, Brooke worked at Build-A-Bear at North Park Mall for several years. She always had great stories of her favorite customers. Her friends and family especially enjoyed hearing about the older ladies who brought their dogs in strollers into Build-A-Bear to buy the bear outfits for their fur babies. Brooke was known for being a hard-worker with a “customer first” attitude which made her a natural success in the retail world.
Brooke was born and raised as a part of Lakeside Baptist Church where she made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. Her sweet spirit and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a time of visitation from 4 – 6 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Sparkman/ Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 7405 Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas, 75225.
