Carl Lawrence “Larry” Colgin, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at his home August 17, 2010 surrounded by his family. Born November 9, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of IBEW for 60 years, a founding member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and a member of 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Cathryn, his sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Mary, Michael and Ellen, Tony and Joan, and Christopher and Liz Colgin, as well as his daughter Cathy and husband Robert Cantu, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6303 Kenwood, Dallas, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Father John Libone, celebrant. Entombment Calvary Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
