

Carlos was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from L. G. Pinkston High School in 1984.
He married Marisela A. Guzman on February 17, 1990 and the couple had one child. He dedicated twenty-nine years of his life serving as a police officer for the City of Dallas, Texas where he was know for his unwavering commitment to serving his community.
Carlos had a passion for the outdoors, often spending much of his free time hunting or fishing. He will be remembered fondly by family members and friends as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a man of extraordinary generosity. His selflessness and care for others were the hallmarks of his character, and he consistently prioritized his family through his actions and words.
Carlos' legacy of kindness and dedication will live on in the hearts of those with the good fortune to have known him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Guadalupe Guzman.
He is survived by his wife, Marisela Guzman; son, Carlos Guzman III; granddaughter, Angelina Guzman; sister, Dora Esquivel; brothers, Joe Guzman and Ricardo Guzman.
A Visitation for Carlos Guzman, Jr. will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, September 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2215 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75201.
