

He will be remembered by everyone as a wonderful husband, strong and caring father, loving grandpa, and faithful friend.
He was born on March 18, 1915, in Como, Texas. He married his loving wife Faye on April 1, 1964. Cecil retired after 33 years from DART. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, serving as Secretary for 30 of those years at Keystone Lodge of Dallas. He was a dedicated member of First Methodist Church of Garland and a member of the John Markley Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife Fay, sister Jean Anthony, son Billy Cooper and wife Ann, daughter Patsy Timm and husband Richard, daughter Shirley Bradley, son Robert Phillips and wife Kyra, daughter Linda O'Glee and husband Calvin, 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and son David Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Garland on Friday, February 3, 2012, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
