Cecilia Niu Sanford

We are heartbroken to provide notice of the death of Cecilia “Ceci” Niu Sanford on December 5th, 2022. Ceci was born on September 23, 2021, weighing 7 pounds even. She was the third daughter of Ethan and Nina Sanford, sister to Leila and Maya, and granddaughter to Tim Sanford, Maria Sanford, Lili Huang and Xiao Lin Niu.

Ceci was ferociously smart, putting together two-word statements, joking with her family and dancing with her sisters. She adored watching the rabbits who gathered in the backyard, being pushed in her swing and taking trips to our local play gym.

Ceci was found to have a tumor in the nerves which provide right leg function. She worked so hard in physical therapy and in countless hours with her mother to gain strength. Through it all, it was always so easy to get a smile or laugh out of her. This was especially true when she was with her beloved “Nai Nai”, who cared for her virtually every day of her life. Ceci was so spoiled and so happy. She is missed beyond comprehension. She will always be remembered by her family. She will live on through the good we all do for our world.

A donation drive for Ceci has been established and we are committed to giving on her behalf. All funds will go to the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, where she received her care. It is so important to us that Ceci is remembered. Please consider donating so that her life can provide benefit to the kids in our community.
