

Christine Louise Quattlebaum Hasbrook was born on August 26, 1916 and passed away on December 1, 2013. Preceded in death by parents Alfred and Clyde Quattlebaum, husband Robert Hasbrook, brother Alfred Quattlebaum Jr., sister Florence Sadok, brothers-in-law Albert Sadok and Kenneth Hasbrook, cousins Lorena Hickman, Mary Ann Orr, Alma Walker, and Clifton Quattlebaum, as well as nephew Ronald Quattlebaum. She is survived by sister-in-law Alma Hasbrook, cousins Nancy Quattlebaum, Sarah Eslinger and Kathleen Shelley, nieces Jerrilyn Oaks (Bill), Dianne McCune (Michael), and nephew Richard Sadok (Kris). She is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, Sean Oaks, Brandi Oaks, Alycia Howell, Justin McCune, Joshua McCune, Rachael McCune, Madison Oaks, Desirae Howell, Maddison Howell and Jordan McCune. She will also be remembered by all her VFW friends and Auxiliary sisters and special friends Bill and Lavena Robinson, Ray and Mary Robinson, Betty Owens and April Stephans. Christine's mother taught her to mend hosiery, and she spent several years during WWII travelling across Texas mending stockings and teaching the art to others. Christine worked for Lone Star Gas for 26 years and wrote a new employee's training manual. She retired in 1982. Pallbearers are Bill Oaks, Michael McCune, Richard Sadok, Sean Oaks, Ray Robinson and William Robinson. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
