Christopher Harrison Fay

26 juillet 19973 juin 2020

Christopher Harrison Fay, age 22, of Plano, TX passed away on June 3, 2020. He was born in Dallas, TX, to parents Christopher Fay and Rebecca Fay on July 26, 1997.

From kindergarten to 10th grade Harrison attended Prestonwood Christian Academy, where he continued his learning of the Bible and his relationship with Jesus Christ. His faith and acceptance of Christ as his Savior served as the solid foundation upon which he built a meaningful life fueled by a strong work ethic and an earnest desire to make the world a better place. He worked towards a better future not only for himself, but for those he loved and especially the family of his own he hoped to have someday.

Harrison graduated from Plano West Senior High School, then let his deep love for his country guide him to a career in the United States Air Force. He chose to volunteer and to serve six years rather than four. His selfless desire to serve his country even in today’s uncertain times spoke volumes about the man he was. Harrison served in the Logistics Readiness Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. While stationed in Guam, he scored in the top 10% of his entire squadron as well as scoring a 93% on his end of course examination for his technical career development courses.

Outside his professional pursuits, he enjoyed most sports, specifically football, basketball, golf, water sports at his lake home, as well as video games. He loved cheering on his beloved Cowboys and Mavericks. Harrison was always up for an adventure including trying exotic new foods, but he loved good old-fashioned home cooking with his family just as much.

To know Harrison was to love him. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His family, friends and many brothers and sisters in the Air Force will always remember him for his infectious smile, his unwavering commitment to his country, and the way he always managed to bring out the best in those around him.

Harrison is survived by mother Rebecca Fay, father Christopher Fay, stepmother Carla Gravenkemper, sister Carena Elizabeth Fay, stepbrothers Josh and Ross Gravenkemper, grandparents Mary and Ken Crowder and Susan Fay; aunt and uncle Tanya Crowder Warrick and Andrew Warrick, cousins Army Sgt. Austin Warrick and Natalie Warrick all of Texas; aunt and uncle Clark Fay and Jennifer Fay; cousins Clark Fay Jr., Dakota Fay and Whitney Fay of Arizona; and uncle David Fay and cousin Chelsey Brophy of Nevada.

A memorial service will be held on July 2, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX. A graveside service where full military honors will be performed will be held on July 3, 2020, at 9:00 AM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors GoFundMe they have established in Harrison’s memory: https://gofundme.com/harrison-fay039s-campaign-for-wounded-warriors

We first met Harrison, Rebecca and Chris when our boys played baseball together when they were 4. Harrison was always so full of life , energetic and outgoing. We were so glad to connect with them again at PCA where Cole and Harrison were in the same class in 1st grade. I have many fond memories of field trips and sports throughout the years. Harrison always was the first to say thank you with the best smile. I am so proud of him for his service and the man he became.

Dearest Harrison May your days in heaven be filled with cheerful sun, May your nights be lit by endless moon, May the wind brush softly against your face, May you be bathed by God's loving grace, May you find all the gifts for which you prayed and may you be blessed by the God who is called Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Spread your wings and soar beyond, but don't forget to smile upon us who are left behind until we meet again. So grateful to have been your Aunt for too short a time on this earth. You are loved forever & more. Love, Aunt Jenni

My family send our condolences to Christopher’s family. I was born and raised on Guam and lived outside of the Air Force Base in the village of Yigo. We didn’t know Chris personally, but we have respect and honor for those serving our country. May he Rest In Peace. May the lord continue to bless you with strength, comfort and guide you during this difficult time. We send our love, prayers and deepest condolences.
