Corinne Thompson passed away peacefully March 31, 2026, with family by her side.
Evelyn Corinne Beall was born on January 9, 1932, to James T. and Zula M. Beall in Austin, Texas. Corinne was raised in Austin alongside her sister Margaret. She attended Austin High School (class of 49) and the University of Texas where she pledged Gamma Phi Beta. After college, Corinne settled in Dallas, where she raised her four children.
In Dallas, she formed seminal friendships with the ‘Guildhall Gang’ consisting of the Royal, Dawson, Johnson, Black and Thompson families. These friendships that started nearly 70 years ago endure today. Additionally, the relationships that began on Guildhall Drive led directly to her wonderful career with the Kim Dawson Agency where she proudly worked for nearly 42 years. Corinne loved her career with the Kim Dawson Agency and Dallas Market Center where she developed countless friendships and relationships that lasted throughout her lifetime. An opportunity to help coordinate a fashion show in Russia, ignited Corinne’s strong desire to travel. She traveled frequently with friends, her daughters and her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to Russia, across Europe, and throughout the United States. She was especially fond of European river cruises and made frequent trips to Italy and New York City.
In addition to travel, Corinne was passionate about exercise and fitness. She had a lifetime membership to the Verandah Athletic Club and walked several miles a day into her 90s. She was a longtime member of Central Lutheran Church in Dallas, and later Watermark Community Church. Corinne’s strong Christian faith was evident in all that she did.
Corinne was loved and will be missed by her large family and a myriad of friends. She is survived by daughter, Kathleen King and husband Kirk, along with their three children Amy, Garrett and Rachel King; daughter, Allison Feldman and husband, Steve and their four children, Paul Feldman, Lisa Stelzer, Julie Kinney and James Feldman; daughter, Margaret Barrick and her daughter, Andrea Barrick; son, James Thompson and wife, Marti and their three children, Erik, Courtney and Lindsey Thompson. In addition to her 11 grandchildren and their spouses, she is survived by 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Brown; nieces, Becky Brown, Laura Chapoy, Sigrid Kelsey, Brita Odegard and nephew Karsten Thompson. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Janet Lynn Thompson.
Corinne was dearly loved by those who knew what a soft heart she really had under her tough exterior. She was also someone you could look to for her honest opinion, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. An amazing host who enjoyed getting together for dinner or a glass of wine, she passed with no pain, and no fear at 5:30pm, appropriately happy hour.
Memorial service is 2:00pm, June 5, at Watermark Community Church Chapel, 7540 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX. Reception to follow at Cooper Hotel, Berkeley Room, 12230 Preston Rd, Dallas (enter from Churchill Way).
Please remember her with a gift to your favorite charity or American Cancer Society to help fight Breast Cancer.
