

Cully Lane Johnson, 52 years old of Dallas, TX, passed away unexpectedly on June 26th, 2022. He was born in New Castle, IN on July 9th, 1969. Cully graduated from New Castle High School in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wyoming in 1996, where he was a member of the United States Air Force ROTC. Later, he went on to receive his Master’s in Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas in 2000.
Cully served in the United States Air Force for 11 years. He was a member of the Missile Maintenance Team and later transitioned to an F-15 Fighter Squadron where he served in Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. He was proud of his time in the military having earned the rank of Captain.
He had a career in sales, operations, and leadership. Most recently he was the Director of Business Development for SR Technics Group and prior to that worked as a Director of Business Development for Aviation Technical Services, a Sales Executive at Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC, and an Area Sales Manager for Mobile Drill.
Cully was bigger than life and so was his passion for family, friends, aviation, the mountains, traveling, and really good food.
He is survived by his mother Deloris Madden, his father Mike Johnson (Laura), his sister Carrie Ann Cravens (Jeff), nephew, Tyler Bell, his brothers Mike Johnson (Helen) and Bronson M. Johnson, his step brothers Jayson Madden (Amy) and Josh Madden (Renee), friend Michael Conrady, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his step father, Charles Madden and step brother, Scott Madden.
A private service for family is planned for Saturday, July 2nd and a Celebration for Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
