October 21st, 1937, to Laurie Dalton Lunday and Fay Lorraine
(Boyles) Lunday and was called to join our Heavenly Father and
reunite with her husband, Cecil Paul Smith, on October 26th, 2024,
while residing at Midlothian Healthcare.
Dannie loved people and always wore a great smile. Some people
said she was their best audience because she had the most
wonderful laugh. She was a fantastic cook which caused many
people to request recipes or bargain for a homemade pie or cake.
Dannie loved cooking, music, and her family. She chose to follow
our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized on April 18th, 1948. She was
a homemaker until later in life when she went to work for Sanger
Harris/Foley’s where she retired.
Dannie is preceded in death by her parents, Laurie Lunday and Fay
Lunday, and her husband Cecil Paul Smith (Paul), and her brother
Ray L. Lunday. Dannie is survived by her half-sister Laurie Ann Baker
and her husband Bob, her half-brother Bryan Neil Lunday and his
wife Jenny, as well as Dannie’s three children, daughter Diana Gail
Flowers, son Paul Alan Smith and his wife Cynthia, and son Darrell
Wayne Smith and his wife Carol. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Flowers, Meredith Shaw, Mitchell Smith,Thomas Flowers, Samantha Hunter, and Lauren Treber. Her legacy
also left her with ten great grandchildren, Garrett, Paxton, Rheann,
Ethan, Leo, Emylee, Alexa, Jamison, Adelaide, and Evie.
We will always miss the warmth, happiness and cheer she brought
with her every time she entered a room.
We love and miss you very much.
