

DEAN DELOSS SCHLESINGER -- born January 28, 1932, and passed away June 14, 2012. Dean is survived by his looving wife Reta (Beadles) Schlesinger; sisters Opal Buchholtz and Letha (Ron) Tosh; children John (Carol) Schlesinger, Pamela (Hunter) Potts, Susan (David) Head; stepchildrenBill Finklea, Teresa (Larry) Smith, Ralph (Sandra) Finklea; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nehews. He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Irene Taddiken Schlesinger, brother Kenneth Schlesinger, brother-in-law Chester Buchholtz, nephew Robert Buchholtz and grandson Clay Finklea.
Dean was born and raised in Shelby, Nebraska until he met and married Mary then enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in several places during his military service. After he was discharged from the service he began his work life with IBM (International Business Machines) and moved to Dallas. When he and Mary parted ways it wasn't too long before he met Reta and their married life began with a merged family of six children and their lives were never boring. He and Reta worked tirelessly and started building their lake house for their future retirement. Dean had two holidays he enjoyed each year which was July 4th and Christmas Eve where the entire family would come and they were always big. memorable celebrations. He retired from IBM after 35 years and he and Reta bought an RV and began to travel and enjoy their lake house to the fullest. Dean and Reta were married 43 years and he loved every minute of it.
Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm and services on June 19, 2012, at 2 pm. at
Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
